The YouTube channel Street Speed 717 is responsible for creating some of the most controversial content available online. The channel is run by Mike Holt. Earlier in January, we reported on Mike and his TRX, which he took mudding on a friend’s farm. Before Mike modified his 2021 RAM TRX and installed giant wheels on the super pickup, the YouTuber jumped the very same truck over a creek in Pennsylvania.
Unlike his earlier jump, which involved a second-generation Ford F-150 Raptor, the brand new RAM 1500 TRX did not survive the stunt. This caused an outrage among the Mopar community. As it turns out, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission was just as outraged by Mike’s stunt.
After seeing the uploaded video, the Pennsylvania FBC served Mike Holt with 18 different charges related to destroying a water body in the state of Pennsylvania. Holt’s stunt destroyed one of the very first TRX models. To some, it came off as insensitive, considering the sheer number of customers who are patiently waiting to get Ram’s super truck.
The YouTuber used the series of charges against him as the subject of another video. Holt boasted about how he pays “literally hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes.” Currently, he is being charged with violations that include running a vehicle in a stream, poisoning fishes, disturbing waterways or watersheds, and littering near waters. Holt has confirmed that he is working with his lawyer on his plea, and claims that the charges against him are not fair.
