This past week we got to head down to east county San Diego to visit one of the leading Trophy Truck manufacturers for an upcoming set of features. While we will keep the name of the shop secret to build up some suspense, it was a great time for us to get out of the office and connect with some of the innovators in the sport of off-road desert racing. What made the experience even better, however, is that we got to connect with two extremely passionate owners who eat, sleep, and breathe Trophy Trucks.
The meeting really helped put into perspective just how amazing Trophy Trucks are, not only from the way they are designed, but because of the way they are meant to be driven. In speaking with the owners who will remain nameless for now, we really got some great insight into just how hard Trophy Trucks are meant to be driven, and that they actually function better when driven hard. Trophy Trucks through and through are pieces of technological art and it was interesting to hear how they fare much better at the hands of a driver who is willing to push the envelope at all times versus someone who drives a bit more cautiously.
Bringing light to their amazing ability to be driven on the edge, is the 2013 King Shocks HDRA 250 video produced by Monster Energy. While the video isn’t the most current, it is a prime example of just how hard drivers like B.J. Baldwin and Cameron Steele push the limits of their trucks in an effort to be first to the checkered flag! Enjoy!
