Ford’s got a new commercial out for the new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor and in it, Denis Leary tells us that scorpions, rattlesnakes, and coyotes are no longer the most dangerous animals in the desert – the Raptor is. He then goes on a 91-second romp ticking off why the newest edition of the Raptor is also the baddest and most awesome off-road vehicle.
Most commercials for trucks designed for off-road use are pretty tame. You may see the truck rolling through some mud and brush, maybe over a molehill or two in an urban environment. Not this one.
Cool CGI graphics like these illustrate what makes the Raptor so tough.
Ford wants you to know that you’ll be hard-pressed to find terrain that will stump the new Raptor. Whether it’s a windy desert road at high speeds or a rock-crushing crawl up a boulder-strewn hill, this new Raptor looks like it can take whatever you throw at it. Denis’ commentary goes on to explain how the 2017 Raptor is the best of its breed.
An upgraded 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine and 10-speed automatic transmission contribute to the power of the Raptor.
This commercial pulls the body off and shows us a fully-boxed steel frame. What’s even better is that some cool CGI graphics that give us exploded views of the truck as it motors around the desert.
Ford Tough isn't just a saying.
This is one vehicle that we cannot wait to test, it sounds like it is going to ben a real beast!
