Off-roading isn’t for the faint of heart, and usually, it’s not for the financially challenged either. But thanks to an evolution in RC vehicles, even the off-road enthusiast without a fat wallet can participate in some incredible off-road builds and competitions. Check out this RC enthusiast’s unique off-road machine in the video above, compliments of RCSparks Studio.

Commercially available from the mid 1960s, with progressively more complex and powerful models available since then, radio or remote controlled (RC) vehicles have come a long way since their market debut. Not only are there countless types, sizes and models, there are also more RC vehicles meant not as children’s play things, but as the focus of adult entertainment. The custom-built RC model you see in the video above is just such a machine.

This Axial Racing vehicle is an SXC10 Dingo 1/10 scale 4×4 truck with a custom-cut Dingo Rover body. It is a mighty mud machine and features a 9T brushed Mad Scientist motor, 5450 3S Lipo battery, Tekin FXR electronic speed control, Castle Creations 10 Amp BEC and a Hitec 5645MG servo.

Underneath, the RC truck is equipped with Integy shocks and Pro-Line Racing 2.2-inch Sand Paw tires with 1/4-inch Jake Chains. The vehicle even makes use of a 1/8th-scale 3Racing crawler winch.

But what’s even more impressive than the machine itself is the Rover’s ability to traverse through the muddy terrain near a new housing development.

In fact, it’s so good and the camera angles are so well-planned, that if you don’t pay close attention, you might think it’s real.

We’ve certainly seen some awesome off-roading action, but we can’t think of anything much cooler than watching this unique RC Rover go mud bogging on this end-of-the-month Hump Day!
