Mud is a common factor among most off-road enthusiasts. Sure the Southwest has lots of wide open sandy deserts, and there are plenty of places to go hardcore rock crawling in this great country of ours, but the bottom line is that most of the off-roading in the U.S.A. happens in mud.
That is probably why mud-based off-road events such as the Michigan Mud Jam, held at the Iosco County Fairgrounds in Hale, Michigan where the video above was shot during the 2014 Mud Jam are so darn popular.
To boot, tug-o’-wars held on any medium, whether that be concrete, sand, or mud are just so much fun to watch, and participate in. It’s the classic man and his machine against another man and his machine duel. You just can’t beat it.
Watching this tug-o’-war, you can clearly see how much fun everyone is having. And this one is an epic battle that goes two-out-of-three tugs to determine the winner. Better yet, the massive rain storms they had in the area made this Michigan Mud Jam an even bigger and sloppier experience. But be sure to watch it all the way to the end for the big bang!
If you’ve never attended the Michigan Mud Jam, and you like what you see in the video, on the Jam’s website, or its Facebook page, make sure you get there in August 2015 for the next big event. There’s lots of mud, and it’s a huge party!
