It is not everyday you stumble on the type of project that really requires a second look. For the Ford crowd, there are countless built Raptors all over the internet and on that same token, there are countless built Broncos as well. Both are great on their own, but what about if you were to combine the two?

We here at Offroad Xtreme are huge fans of both the Ford Raptor and the Ford Bronco. While the fifth-generation Bronco has not been made since 1996, it still holds a special place in our hearts as one of the best platforms to build an off roader off of. From the various engine options driving the four-wheel-drive system to the short wheelbase, the Bronco was, and is, a great off road rig for even the most seasoned enthusiast.

Amazon Tuning Solutions from Mooresville, North Carolina has been in the business of tuning some of the hottest cars in America for over a decade and recently surfaced a Raptor Bronco they tuned on their Facebook page – a 1993 Ford Bronco with the guts of a Ford Raptor. From the outside, this stock-looking ’93 Bronco resembles something you may of found in one of America’s most notorious high speed pursuits, but if you take a deeper look, it is far from it. 

This build began with the shell of a nice and clean 1993 Ford Bronco. From there, it was lowered onto a Ford Raptor chassis that was shortened to an appropriate wheelbase that would fit with the Bronco’s existing wheel wheels. The Bronco retains the Ford Raptor front and rear suspension, including the four wheel drive system, which is very apparent as the 35-inch BFGoodrich tires stick out of the wheel wheels considerably. To avoid forcing the fender-wells to get bigger with the 35-inch meats at full bump, the fenders were cut for clearance purposes and then some grey fender flares were added for appearance purposes that also match the Raptor styling very well.

Looking under the hood of the Raptor Bronco, you will find the same 6.2-liter V8 that was the powerplant to the first-generation Raptor. Sadly, as we have all found out, this 6.2-liter is now a thing of the past for the upcoming 2017 Ford Raptor, but regardless, it was a great engine for its time powering Raptors everywhere. Moving into the interior of the Raptor Bronco, is a shock-worthy interior. Gone are the bland seats and outdated dash of the fifth-generation Bronco, and in their place is the nicely-refinded interior found in the Ford Raptor. From the complete dash to the flow-thru center console, this Raptor Bronco has the complete interior out of the Raptor – even the comfy black leather seats! 

To add some additional flare, there were a couple of Raptor styling cues that were added to the build. From the three orange lights in the grille to the complete set of Raptor wheels, including a rear-mounted spare, this build looks as if it was pulled off of the showroom floor last year.

Ford has hinted at the possibility of reintroducing the Bronco numerous times since 1996, including a concept Bronco unveiled at the 2004 North American International Auto Show, but unfortunately, nothing has come from it.
