It may look like nothing more than a rocky red desert to the uninitiated, however Moab, Utah, is one of the largest 4×4 playgrounds in the world. It’s in this same region in which Butch Cassidy hid from the law and where some of the most beautiful of our nation’s national parks are located. The Rebel Off Road crew, along with several other Jeep enthusiasts from around the world, gathered here for the 15th Annual Moab Jeep Jamboree, as you will see in the video above.
Moab’s terrain ranges from steep red sandstone hills to smooth and sandy plateaus. This variety allows drivers of all skill levels a chance to push themselves to the limit or simply cruise along in the outdoors. While temperatures in the 30s are common at night, during the day the weather can be warm and perfect for tops to be off — of the Jeeps that is.
Among the many attendees were the Rebel Off Road Rebelcon Wranglers; sections such as High Dive on the Behind The Rocks trail were especially challenging; Danny Grimes from Grandpas Garage brought his cab conversion out; and even the dogs enjoyed off-roading.
The Jeeps in attendance for this 15th Annual event ranged from stock to highly modified, performance off-road machines. The variety of terrain put everyone’s traction and performance to the test. The rocks in several places almost looked like steps that the Jeeps simply walked up. Other sections such as High Dive where extremely steep that it’s a miracle that they where able to make it down as it’s easy to lose control.
The Rebel Off Road crew and their friends all had a great time. Check out all of the action from the weekend.
