The headlights of a truck can make a big difference in visibility, in more ways than one. Not only can the beam pattern be altered, but the appearance of the truck’s front end can look totally different than before, and in a good way.
Enter the AnzoUSA Switchback headlights, which are available for a variety of platforms. In this video, the company showcases the installation process for a 2015-17 GMC Sierra HD, which was done right here in our shop.

Equipped with just a few items – painter’s tape, trim removal tool, socket wrench, and screwdriver – we were able to make quick work of the headlights.
With the negative battery terminals disconnected, we removed the push fasteners holding in the radiator support cover panel, and then the panel itself. Painter’s tape then went over the bumper to prevent scratching, and the bolts holding the grille in place were removed, as was the grille shortly thereafter.
The inner fender and lower headlight trim were removed to expose the lower headlight bolts. Then the fender-hood seal was moved out of the way to allow access to the upper headlight bolts. A single electrical connector was disconnected, and with that, the stock headlight was gone.
Removing the stock headlight and installing the new AnzoUSA Switchback headlight.
Installing the AnzoUSA Switchback headlight was as simple now as reversing the steps. All that was left was adjustment. This was done with the screwdriver, which adjusted the direction and orientation of the beam.
The truck now looked even better than it did before, and had the added functions of the Switchback’s integrated side and marker lights. To see more of AnzoUSA’s products, head on over to the company’s website and Facebook page.
