Twisted Automotive, based out of the UK, started in 2000 by Charles Fawcett as a cure for his hunger for more power.
Since Fawcett was a little boy, his family has always been around Land Rovers, which helped him accrue a passion for the Defenders over time. By the age of 20, he was rebuilding his own, not just for looks, but for more power and all of the little details he wanted his Defender to have. Since Twisted Automotive started, they have been modernizing Land Rover Defenders by adding creature comforts, new aesthetics, and more power while still keeping the essence of the Defender present.
Twisted Automotive rebuilt the CSW Ultimate 500 from the ground up. They’ve added their progressive suspension system which includes sway bars, springs, and dampers. The truck also comes with 6-piston Alcon brakes to stop all of the mass it carries. There are upgrades to the interior that include racing bucket seats, satellite navigation, and much more.
Fawcett has a great thing going with Twisted Automotive, and with the production of the Defender concluding as of last December, he’s got a few tricks up his sleeve to keep the Defender around.
