Off-road performance parts manufacturer MetalCloak is bringing the best off-road racers in the nation to the Prairie City State Vehicular Recreation Area in Rancho Cordova, California for the 2nd Annual MetalCloak NorCal Ultra4 Stampede. Taking place on June 6th and 7th of June, 2014, the Stampede is the one of the premier events of Ultra4 Racing series.
Founded only seven years ago, Ultra4 is the fastest growing off-road racing series in the world. All vehicles must be four-wheel-drive, other than that, they are divided into a few basic classes. The racing itself is a combination of short course off-road racing and rock crawling.
“The Metalcloak Ultra4 NorCal Stampede represents the first race in the Ultra4 West Coast Series,” says Matson Breakey of MetalCloak. “Last year we had a blast bringing these large horsepower off-road racers to Northern California and the Sacramento region. It was an easy decision to sign up for another year.”

Ultra4 Racing combines the rugged terrain of rock crawling with the high jumps of short course off-road.
According to Bower Motorsports Media, confirmed racers include Jessi Combs of Mythbusters and Overhaulin’ fame as well as her own web series 1001 Car Things to Do Before I Die. Other racers included Monster Energy-sponsored driver Shannon Campbell who will have the pleasure of competing against his 18-year-old son. Local hot shots Alex Hardaway and Jason Scherer are looking to make a name for themselves and earn spots on the podium
The event will consist of heats on Friday and Saturday, with the main event held Saturday afternoon. It’s going to be a high octane weekend as the performance crawling machines do battle at Prairie City SVRA.
