When Indian car giant Mahindra introduced the first generation Roxor back in 2018, it caused quite a stir in the industry. Stellantis’ sub-brand sued Mahindra claiming that the Indian automaker violated Jeep’s trademark with the styling of the first-generation Roxor. The automaker has now updated the styling of its new model, and the final result sports a more aggressive design.

The all-new Roxor gets a new hood that ditches the external latches and does not taper. The headlights sit further apart and encompass the new slimmer grille. Mahindra even shortened the fenders, which now merge into the grille. In our opinion, the all-new Mahindra Roxor looks like an aggressive Willys restomod. A boxed steel frame underpins the new Roxor, and the company also uses steel to make the body panels of its new off-roader.

Under the hood of the new model sits a 2.5-liter turbo diesel motor which produces 62 HP of maximum power and 144 lb-ft of peak torque. The four-cylinder mill comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and a low-range equipped transfer case. The top speed of Mahindra Roxor is limited to 55 MPH. The entire ensemble rides on leaf springs, and the power is sent to the two solid axles via the transfer case.

The new Mahindra Roxor weighs 3,000 lbs, and prices for the entry-level model start at around $19,000. The automaker also offers a hardtop-equipped All-Weather variant of the Roxor for customers who want creature comforts like HVAC. Mahindra also offers a host of optional extras for the Roxor, which include a 3-inch lift kit, Bilstein shocks, a winch, a 40-inch LED light bar, a hunting rifle stand, and much more.
