Ken Block And Pennzoil Team Up For Another Terrakhana Video

Ken Block has had a successful career that started in 2005 when he won the Rookie of the Year in the Rally America Championship. He’s also made numerous successful appearances in the X-Games in various disciplines including RallyCross.

Block started expanding his following in 2013 with his Gymkhana video series featuring him showcasing his driving skills. He recently stepped it up a notch with his new spinoff Terrakhana. Gymkhana featured Block driving in urban environments and Terakhana features him driving off-road.

You be the judge if Block’s driving or the vistas in his new Terrakhana series are more spectacular.

Block’s roots are in dirt and gravel, so he’d been planning on something like the Terrakhana series for quite some time. He was excited when Pennzoil got on board.

“That then grew into this much bigger thing, but it always stemmed from me wanting to have fun in cars,” Block continued. “And, if I’m being perfectly honest, the most fun for me is out on dirt and gravel! You can imagine how stoked I was to learn Pennzoil shared this vision.”

Block really puts his Fiesta through its paces in this video.

Pennzoil thought the conditions near where Block decided to film Terrakhana, southern Utah in an area known as Swing Arm City where temps are triple digits, were perfect for Block to test their synthetics under maximum load.

“It’s funny because I’ve wanted to do other variations of Gymkhana like Climbkhana and Terrakhana for years now,” Block said. “Gymkhana started for me because I was looking to practice my rally driving skills in a more affordable way between races.”

“It’s how I got started in racing and the gravel sections of our rallycross races are always my favorites,” Block explained. “So, to be able to finally go and do a proper Gymkhana-style video with one of my cars but on dirt is one of those dream-come-true situations for me.”

This is definitely one of our most favorite Ken Block videos of late. What do you think of Bock being back in the dirt? Tell us in the comments below!
