What is better than being on the trails off-roading, then being able to come home and sit on the couch and do some more of it, virtually. Off-roading has been making its way to video games at faster rates than ever before. One crazy off-road adventure (more of a glitch, really) is the “AI Taxi Challenge” in Grand Theft Auto V.

Something you will see frequently during the challenge: rolling down the mountain.

In this challenge, you set up a taxi route from a very extreme part of the map and see if you can survive the taxi ride down the mountain. You do not have to actually do anything but sit back and watch the taxi and see if you can successfully make it down the mountain.

The successful completion of the journey is the fun part. With only about 10 percent of taxis and passengers making it down safe, it is a fun way to kill some time and see if you can make it down in one piece.

Your taxi driver give your character a run for your money, but you are not the only one in danger. While on the route you will come across random hikers on the mountain trail and depending on the mood of your driver he may wait for them to move to continue, or they may become a new hood ornament.

No hiker can escape the wrath of a stressed-out taxi driver!

Not being able to control the taxi and actually having to rely on the computer to get you down safely is the funny part. Drifting corners, flying off the side of the cliff, or rolling down the mountain into trees are all events that will take place on your backseat adventure.

The AI Taxi Challenge is something that will be fun for a while, especially with every trip being a new experience. So let this be a lesson to us all: when a cab route calls for some canyon carving, maybe it’s a better idea just to go hiking it instead!
