After stumbling upon this internet-gem, we really don’t even know where to start because of all that takes place in this six-minute video. Taking the leading role in this video is the forever-loved Jeep Cherokee XJ, a staple in the off-road community, and shown here with some suspension upgrades, some nearly-bald off-road tires, and some bodywork that we will just call “custom.” As the costar that enters later into the film, we have what appears to be a late-80s Chevy S10 Blazer that is missing the back half of the roof and has a nice camo paint scheme.
The video starts off showcasing the 4×4 XJ’s ability to run through some rocks in a dried up creak. For all intents and purposes, the XJ does a very good job managing the tough terrain, even though it gets some “love marks” from the rocks along the way.
Everything seems to be going well until the XJ gets hung up on a very large rock that gets the SUV as stuck as can be. As the camera pans to assess the damage, we can see that the rock has literally torn up the underside of the XJ including breaking the driveshaft at the rear U-joint, breaking the parking brake, and even pinching the red battery cable between a rock and the rig.
In comes the Blazer, which in combination with a high-lift jack, proceeds to tug and yank the XJ off the rock – only when it finally breaks free, the XJ rolls right into the Blazer!
To finish off this awesome video, you get to watch the Blazer push the XJ onto the tow rig’s trailer – but in doing so, there is some serious carnage that takes place on the back door of the XJ.
This video had us laughing pretty good, what did you think of it?
