Off Road Xtreme got wind of a super slick Chevrolet Silverado customized to be a off-road performance competitor to the Ford F-150 Raptor. We got a chance to see Detroit-based company Blacklake’s prototype at the 2021 SEMA Show, and we are excited to share it here. The new offering is clearly designed to challenge the Blue Oval brand’s performance off-roader. The latest from Blacklake is based on Chevy Silverado 1500, and it is called the XT1.

The tuning outfit replaced Silverado 1500’s stock rear suspension setup for a specially designed 5-link setup. At the front, XT1 uses 3-inch double adjustable coilovers to absorb the bumps. The front-end also gets aluminum lower control arms and billet steel upper control arms. According to Blacklake, the new suspension setup offers 11.8 inches of suspension travel at the front and 17.5 inches of rear travel.

The company also installed new front and rear bumpers to accommodate the giant 17-inch Beadlock Black Rhino wheels that are wrapped in BFGoodrich 35-inch KM3 all-terrain tires. The new bumpers also improve the approach and departure angles of Blacklake XT1.

Blacklake also enlisted the services of the prolific Corvette tuner- Lingenfelter- to tweak General Motors’ 6.2-liter L87 V8 motor. The company claims that XT1’s supercharge powerplant produces 650 HP of maximum power. The motor comes mated to a CC1 steel driveshaft and a Borla exhaust system.

A Blacklake aluminum skid plate offers additional protection to the underbody, and other accessories like Rigid Industries fog lamps and AMP Research running boards are also part of the ensemble. In addition to the metal trim, we also find Katzkin leather upholstery adorning the seats inside the cabin. So far, there is no information on the pricing of the Blacklake XT1. However, we reckon that the performance pickup will get a $250,000 price tag.
