Bilstein Suspension Wins Multiple 2019 LOORRS Season Championships

During the frenzied final push of the 2019 Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS), in Arizona’s Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park, multiple wins were made by a single manufacturer: Bilstein. As far as suspension sponsors go, Bilstein is about as good as it gets, with its products helping LOORRS athletes score multiple wins and two championship titles.

Of the two races that took place over the course of the other weekend, which consisted of  Round Nine and a special LOORRS Challenge Cup, the second of these two was the one to watch. This unique set of heat races offered additional prize money, with Ryan Beat’s Bilstein sponsored car securing a second straight Pro Lite points championship, and Jerett Brooks dominating in Pro2.

“This past weekend was a dream come true,” says Beat. “To win a single Pro Lite championship is a feat in itself, but to win two in a row is unheard of. For Bilstein and General Tire, that makes four consecutive Pro-Lite championships. I think that kind of domination speaks volumes.”

Another Bilstein sponsored Pro-Lite racer, Mickey Thomas, also won big in Round Nine, finishing second overall after a season’s worth of points were tallied-up. This landed Thomas directly behind Beat, therefore making it a “one-two sweep” for Bilstein this year. Prior to the Challenge Cup, Thomas had this to say, So stoked to cap the year off with a win! Time to go out and get one more!”

Meanwhile, over in the LOORRS Challenge Cup, Bilstein racer Cole Mamer took home a hard-earned victory along with a sizable payout. After the race was complete, Memer had this to say via social media, “Today couldn’t have been a better day took home the big $10,000 check 1st place…I am super grateful to have so many amazing people that have helped us get this truck to where we are.”

Over in Pro2, Jerett Brooks had a stellar weekend, to say the least. The returning short course champ pushed hard on Friday, landing him a top slot on the starting grid. From there, Brooks and his acutely-crafted Bilstein M9200s truck rocketed through Round Nine, allowing the two to take home a win and bounce into the lead in regard to championship points. Needless to say, Brooks was elated beyond words, well… almost beyond words.

“Wow! This has always been my dream, winning a Pro2 championship!” Brooks joyfully exclaimed after the race. “It’s been a surreal season and I can’t thank my family, crew, partners and fans enough for supporting me this season!”

From there, we move on to Doug Mittag, who secured a third-place win in championship standings within the Pro4 category, and Trey D. Gibbs, who took his Bilstein Pro Buggy to a fourth-place finish in Round Nine. We look forward to see what the Bilstein drivers can do in the 2020 season!
