Jeep is paying tribute to its military heritage with the introduction of the 2025 Wrangler 4xe Willys ’41 Special Edition. This new Wrangler pays homage to the legendary 1941 Willys MB, the vehicle that stamped Jeep’s reputation for go-anywhere capability and utilitarian design.
Eighty years after the Willys MB proved its mettle, “the spirit of the original Willys MB lives on in everything we do at Jeep brand,” says Bob Broderdorf, Senior Vice President and Head of Jeep Brand North America. “The 2025 Wrangler 4xe Willys ’41 is a testament to that heritage, a celebration of our past that fuels our drive for innovation,” he adds.
The Willys ’41 Special Edition is unmistakable in the Wrangler lineup, thanks to its military olive drab-inspired paint and exclusive 17-inch aluminum wheels, also painted olive drab. The vintage military style is enhanced with hood-side “WILLYS/4XE” decals in period-correct Drab Blue, echoing the factory stenciling seen on original Willys MBs during World War II.
The interior continues with the theme, and includes tan Heritage cloth seats and an olive drab fabric dashboard insert. A ’41 shifter medallion is also included. The option for a tan soft top will carry the vintage military theme through nicely.
While the Willys ’41 Special Edition honors the past, it’s built for the modern adventurer. It has Jeep’s class-exclusive 4xe plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.0-liter turbocharged gas engine with two electric motors and a high-voltage battery pack. This setup delivers an impressive 49 MPGe, and 21 miles of all-electric range.
Of course, the Jeep has off-road chops thanks to 33-inch tires, a rear locker to maximize traction, and heavy-duty front and rear steel bumpers for added protection. The 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Willys ’41 Special Edition has a starting U.S. MSRP of $59,930, excluding a $1,895 destination charge.
The new ’41 Special Edition combines classic military styling and modern off-road capability. The new vehicle will hit Jeep dealer lots before the end of 2024.
