Back in February, Shelby introduced its all-new F-250 Super Baja offering, which impressed us with its off-road capability, but with over 1000 lb-ft of torque at its disposal, it was evident that this high-performance pickup will be more at home towing trailers on the freeway. The Shelby F-250 Super Baja found another application in the world of off-road racing, and Team Hytiva is also backing this performance pickup as its critical support vehicle.

Thanks to its diesel powertrain and off-road setup, the Super Baja pickup is taking on the rally stages. Team Hytiva recently announced that it is going to use Shelby Super Baja to support their racing efforts for the second half of the race season. The truck sports Team Hytiva’s livery and a plethora of aftermarket accessories.

The truck’s turbocharged V8 powerplant is capable of producing 475 HP of maximum power and 1050 lb-ft of peak torque which happens to be Super Baja’s party piece. The pickup truck delivers its peak torque at just 1600 RPM. The styling of the Super Baja was completely revamped, and Hytiva even reproduced Shelby’s signature racing stripes in its lime green color scheme.
