EGR USA rolled into the 2024 SEMA Show with new products that grabbed, and held, the attention of showgoers. EGR USA is an Australian-owned, family-run business that is a leading manufacturer of truck and SUV accessories. Two of the company’s new products are VSL LED side lights and the RollTrac power tonneau covers. Both are ideal for vehicles that travel off-road.

Vehicle Side Light LEDs

Off-roading doesn’t just happen during daylight. When wheeling at night, light often needs to point more than in just a forward direction. EGR knows this, which is why the company created the Vehicle Side Lights (VSL) LED lights for Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators, as well as the new Ford Bronco. These new VSL LED lights have a factory-like appearance, provide floodlight-style side lighting, and they simply bolt-on. The company says that the user-friendly mounting system is installed with minimal downtime. Additionally, the lights are resistant to impact and scratches, which translates to clarity, even after many off-road forays. In addition to offering side lighting for nighttime use, they also supplement your vehicle’s turn signals during daytime use.

The lights use an all-aluminum, UV-resistant powder-coated housing; a Lexan lens; and an integrated thermal management system. The LEDs have a 50,000-hour-plus lifespan, and they have a current draw of 36 watts at three amps. The beam pattern of each light is 165 degrees, and they output 2,500 lumens with 6,500K of cool white light.

The EGR VSL LED lights are offered in a variety of colors for Wrangler and Gladiator owners. For Bronco owners, they’re offered in black or raw finish.

RollTrac Electric Retractable Bed Cover

EGR’s slick RollTrac electric retractable bed cover is available for several vehicle models, and we got to see the cover installed on a GMC Sierra Denali pickup. It’s an aluminum bed cover with a 700-pound weight rating. It uses factory mounting points, which removes C-clamps from the mounting equation. For those of us who travel off the paved road, it’s important to note that the RollTrac electric retractable bed cover is engineered to withstand the abuse of off-roading. Another notable feature, from the off-road perspective, is the cover’s ability to retract without trapping dust and debris.

The RollTrac has been awarded 10 international patents, it has a scratch-resistant matte finish, and factory central-locking integration, meaning it locks with your truck. Furthermore, it has an anti-pinch feature to eliminate cargo damage or personal injury, and it can be locked in any position along the bedrails. While on the topic of the bedrails, it’s worth noting that the RollTrac has accessory T-slots on the bedrails that work with all major rack brands.
