Automakers from around the world descended upon SEMA 2021 with their exciting offerings. After last year’s virtual version, it was gratifying to catch up with innovative equipment manufacturers like Westin Automotive in person. The San Dimas, California-based equipment manufacturer showcased a range of new products at the event in Las Vegas, which are designed for 2018 (and newer) Toyota 4Runners.
We were joined by Jason Morrison from Westin, who gave us a detailed tour of the kitted-out 4Runner. The front-end of the off-roader was dominated by a new Pro Series bumper which comes equipped with a functional winch mount and winch plate. Inside the bumper, a completely hidden Superwinch SX10SR 12V Synthetic Rope Winch was ready for duty. Superwinch is a subsidiary of Westin Automotive. Customers can also spec the aftermarket bumper with an inbuilt 20-inch light bar and a Westin roll bar.
Westin Automotive now also offers Outlaw Drop Nerf Broad Step Bars which sit flush with the cab of the 2018 Toyota 4Runner. The tubular side step has been designed and positioned to offer easy access to the truck’s cabin. Westin offers a variety of different style steps which was displayed on the 4Runner’s opposite side. The show truck was also equipped with Westin’s Mesa Roof Rack, which comes with T-slots that will allow customers to securely mount accessories on the side as well as the middle.
The roof rack gets a lightweight and sturdy aluminum construction, which will be ideal for overlanding. The rack also gets an integrated LED light bar mount and can be installed without any drilling. At the rear, we find a new HDX Gen-2 bumper, which can be kitted out with different accessories. Customers can add a swing-away door to the Stage 1 bumper.
The swing-away door also comes with an inbuilt heavy-duty flip-down tray. Furthermore, the manufacturer also offers other accessories for the rear bumper, which include a ladder, high lift jack, swing-away spare tire mount, and mountable gas cans. You can now check out Westin’s new products on the company’s official website.
You can always count on Westin Automotive to bring the heat with their display vehicles. At the 2021 SEMA Show, besides the awesome Toyota 4Runner, they had a very cool custom-built Ford Bronco and a totally over-the-top “Search & Rescue” themed RAM Rebel Truck.
