Beefed-up bumper and body panel protection is a hugely competitive category in the off-road space. At the 2021 SEMA show, there were dozens of specialized companies displaying vehicle-specific body armor products. Off Road Xtreme ran into Nupesh Patel, product specialist with Body Armor 4×4, who showcased some of their new products.
Body Armor 4×4, part of The Wheel Group, has been a front runner in this space for some time. Their front and rear fabricated bumper products are available for most popular late-model trucks. The front bumpers contain features like winch mounting compatibility, LED Light mounts, D-Ring Mounts, and optional nerf bar tubs. Depending on the application, Rear Bumpers may have tow hitch receiver integration, built-in steps and feature awesome rear departure angle clearance.
They stepped it up this year and branched out with the rock guard sliders with plans to release these for purchase in early 2022. The rock sliders are designed for current-generation Tacoma trucks require no welding, cutting or drilling, and are a bolt-on to the frame. Additionally Body Armor 4×4 displayed a suite of products for Subarus which included a Hiline Front Bumper and Rock Sliders.
We also saw their new tent and awning systems which are a natural compliment for the off-roaders, and Overlanding camper customers. Check out Body Armor 4×4 for more product applications.
