Body Armor 4×4 products protect vehicles while also enhancing their looks. Case in point – the company just announced its new line of bumpers for full-size trucks. It’s called the Ambush Series.

We spoke with Body Armor’s Category Manager James Grossaint to learn more about the Ambush Series. “We took a look at the bumper market and felt like there was a big gap,” he said. “We saw a need for an affordable bumper packed with features that was aimed at both off-road and street trucks.”

The Ambush Series stemmed from another successful product line, the Eco Series. “From our Eco Series, we upgraded to 3/16-inch steel plate and 1/4-inch steel plate mounting brackets,” explained Grossaint. “We added D-ring points and changed to a light texture finish that better matches new vehicle finishes.”

On top of using cold roll steel, the Ambush Series also lets customers incorporate LED lighting onto their trucks. “These bumpers allow you to install a 30-inch dual-row light bar and a pair of cube lights on the front,” said Grossaint. “On the rear, there are spaces for a pair of cube lights.”

These bumpers are available now for select applications. “We are offering the Ambush Series for the 2019 and newer Ram 1500, as well as the 2019 and newer Silverado 1500,” said Grossaint. “We plan to expand this to Ford F-150 in the first half of 2021. Eventually, we’ll have fitment for F-250s, 2500/3500HD Silverados, and 2500/3500 Rams.”
