All good things come to an end is the saying; after talking with Don Sneddon with Mickey Thompson, that statement holds true. Here at the 2019 SEMA Show, Mickey Thompson released its tallest, DOT-approved, light truck tire available; Meet the Baja Pro XS.
Whether you’re on the street or on the trail, when you’re looking to stand your ground with a tire that can do it all, the Baja Pro XS is here.
“The Baja Pro XS is the necessary tire for your on- and off-road rig,” said Ken Warner, Vice President of Marketing for Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels. “With a tough four-ply bias-ply construction, a durable compound and aggressive tread and Sidebiters, this tire can handle any terrain.”
Coming in 2020, the Baja Pro XS will launch in 10 sizes, ranging from 35-inches up to an incredible 58-inches tall.

What better way to showcase this tire on what may be the first-ever customized 3.0-Liter Power Stroke F-150.
The Baja Pro XS features a directional tread pattern for balanced forward bite and circumferential tread elements for lateral grip to enhance off-road performance. Other features include siping for smooth surface traction and additional lug flex, angled shoulder scallops to guide mud and loose earth into the Sidebiter cleats, mud scoops that provide a concave surface and create a void to keep mud from adhering, and a tread depth of 27/32-inches.
All available sizes are below:
19.5/46-16LT, 35×13.50-17LT, 38×13.50-17LT, 40×13.50-17LT, 15/43-17LT, 15/43-20LT, 19.5/46-20LT, 17/49-20LT, 19.5/54-20LT, 21/58-24LT.
This tire was truly incredible to see in person; you can tell that this thing means business off-road, and the fact that its street-able for truck owners is awesome.
