Our vehicles are an extension of who we are. We buy cars we like, modify things and really transform them into the machines that we love. One reflection of who we are can be heard loud and clear from our exhaust note. If we love the loud rumble or prefer the quiet, “almost noiseless sound” of our exhaust, each one says a lot about who we are. We stopped by the CORSA Performance booth during this year’s 2013 SEMA Show to see what was new and exciting.

CORSA just released cat-back systems for the 2010-13 Ford Raptor and F-150 (4.6,5.4L), 2009-14 Ram 1500, 2009-14 Tahoe/Yukon, Avalanche/Suburban/Yukon XL and Escalade as well as the 2007-14 FJ Cruiser and 2011-14 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

All of these systems feature their “Reflective Sound Cancellation” (RSC) technology. The RSC technology works by taking a small amount of the exhaust gas flow and diverting it up through multiple channels then back into the main exhaust gas flow. These channels change the phase by 180 degrees. This means that when the diverted gas re-enters the main flow, it actually cancels out the drone of the exhaust. “With RSC technology vehicles have a bold sound on throttle and are quiet at cruise,” says Brent Noward, Marketing Manager at CORSA Performance.

In addition to offering up these new systems, CORSA is displaying their line of intake kits. All of their intake kits feature cross-linked polyethylene constructed housings, silicone connectors and an optional Donaldson core. The Donaldson core filters at  99.97% which is almost HEPA level filtration for your engine! The Donaldson filters are a dry filter and are rated for 100,000 miles of use.
