[Air Lift] is an air suspension company that caters to all automotive markets – commercial vehicles, performance, and utility vehicles alike.
Brian Berry, Director of Sales and Marketing told us that the company was really trying to focus on reaching out to the towing and utility market. “We recently opened up an in-house position where someone specializes in participating in various forums dedicated to those who tow their toys, boats for example. We want to educate people on the practicality and ease that air suspension provides.”
Air Lift specializes in suspension kits that use existing holes in a vehicles frame. This cuts down on the difficulty of conversion. With install demographics at an even 50/50 for personal versus shop install it’s pretty clear that Air Lift does its best to make the jump, or drop, in this case, as convenient and user friendly as possible.
We had a long and passionate talk about air suspension, its roots, and practical applications – “It’s a solution, and we want people to see that. Our handicap market is our biggest. For those who are wary of air suspension, tell that person about the suspension system fitted onto a semi and see what they say about reliability.”
It’s refreshing to see that a company is driving a campaign in an effort to re-imagine a product that has been so engrained in the history of the vehicle but at the same time is probably one of the least understood applications out there.
