American Expedition Vehicles invited the press to preview the new AEV Prospector XL Tray Bed during the 2023 Moab Easter Jeep Safari event. It definitely did impress, along with the entire AEV vehicle lineup. Off Road Xtreme caught up with Matt Feldermann, Marketing Manager at American Expedition Vehicles, and he gave us the scoop on this new rig.

Matt explained, “In addition to looking really cool, the Prospector XL actually performs exceptionally well off-road. There are many people out there right now using them as both recreational travel vehicles and off-the-grid adventure rigs on a regular basis.”

This vehicle has it all, can do it all, and rides like a dream, on or off-road, with 40-inch tall tires and a 3-inch dual sport suspension system. The AEV Prospector XL Tray Bed is a package bundle of parts and equipment starting at $29,977. This does not include the price of the new truck. Also, the limited production run was portioned at only ten exclusive units which all sold on the first day. But the good news is the AEV parts allow vehicle owners to outfit their own vehicles in their own way. They have many specialized accessories available for Jeep JK, JL, JT Gladiator, RAM 1500, Ram HD, Chevrolet Colorado, Ford Bronco, and Toyota Tacoma trucks.
