No matter what brand or model of truck you buy, it seems as if you begin to think about how you are going to modify it to make it more capable off road as soon as you drive it away from the dealer lot. Even the Ford SVT Raptor, as powerful and ready-to-rock as it is, is no different. We have yet to see one with more than a few hundred miles on it that does not already have some modifications already underway. If it is not suspension upgrades, it’s body modifications. And even though the V8, either a 5.4L or 6.2L, depending upon the model year, is supercharged right from the factory, there are a number of companies offering upgrades for that system too.

The ProCharger i-1 is available for the 5.4L and 6.2L Ford SVT Raptor and delivers power gains up to 60 percent, even on pump gas. The ProCharger i-1 supercharger systems are also said to deliver the greatest power gain per pound of boost, of any forced-induction application.

The i-1 (available in black or stain finish) features a sturdy head unit design, robust bracket/tensioner system, and dedicated drive system. The ProCharger i-1 system incorporates a huge air-to-air intercooler installed in the front facia of the truck, not only making a statement that this is no ordinary Raptor, but delivering the coolest air charge possible. When the throttle closes, excess pressure is bypassed via the ProCharger surge valve, located just before the intercooler.
