Renowned Texas-based tuning company, PaxPower went all out with its new GMC Sierra-based offering, which has been designed to take on the likes of the Ford F-150 Raptor. The new performance pickup is a product of PaxPower’s Jackal conversion package. Tuned to be at par with the Raptor, PaxPower’s gave this GMC Sierra 1500 some serious upgrades.
The GMC Sierra seen in the video released by the tuner is an AT4 variant. The Texan tuner upgraded the truck’s 6.2-liter V8 L87 engine by simply swapping out the stock exhaust for a Borla setup. This allowed PaxPower to add two more horses to the truck’s power output, but if 442 HP is not enough for you, the tuner’s got you covered.
PaxPower supercharger upgrade by Whipple bumps the truck’s power up to 650 HP. That’s not all, to make it look the part, this PaxPower’s Jackal gets flared fenders, a vented hood, new bumpers, lighting upgrades by Rigid Industries, and Venomrex wheels which are wrapped in Toyo Open Country rubber.
PaxPower’s exterior upgrades give the Jackal quite a menacing look. Styling highlights include contrasting black and gray graphics on the hood, 442 slapped on the flanks, and the Jackal logo on the rear fenders. To top it off, PaxPower upgraded the GMC Sierra suspension by installing off-road performance parts from Deaver Springs, King Shocks, and Baja Kits.
One look at Jackal and PaxPower’s motto, “building the trucks that the OEMs won’t,” makes perfect sense. In the past PaxPower has put the Chevy Silverado 1500 through a similar treatment. The Jackal package for GMC Sierra is available in two stages with prices starting at $17,950 for the Stage 1 package and $27,950 for the Stage 2 kit.
