It’s that time of year again, and just like any head of the household, Kyle LeDuc takes his Christmas tree shopping seriously. Okay, maybe not too seriously.
Toyo Tires, who sponsors LeDuc’s racing efforts, put together this fun little Yuletide adventure and called it “A LeDuc Christmas.” We open on Kyle, traipsing around your average Southern California Christmas tree shop. Pine, spruce, fir – so many to choose from, but Kyle finds the one he likes and takes it to his patiently waiting Pro 4. The truck is immaculate, with its signature gray color scheme and lime green wheels, showcasing sponsors including WD-40 and Monster Energy, among others.
Tree strapped down and driver suited up, the #99 truck peels out of the dirt lot and does doughnuts as its heads home. But this a Pro 4, people! And Kyle isn’t about to shy away from finding the “right” path back to his house.
As a hardcore version of “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” plays, Kyle blasts through the terrain like a bat out of hell. The tree is hanging on for dear life on the roof of the truck, nearly flattened from the sheer speed and downforce of rushing air. Kyle expertly navigates his journey, counter-steering into turns and throttling out, and only gets one close call from his left rear tire – phew!
And what would a Pro 4 be without a big tabletop jump? The video goes slow-motion, and Kyle lands it perfectly. Things don’t go so well, though when he slides into his backyard and his wife goes from overjoyed to super-annoyed. The tree is ruined, its branches stripped of needles and, well, here he goes again!
