In case you haven’t noticed, UTVs have become very popular for racing, trail riding, ranching, and pretty much anything a small truck could be used for. When we were at the SEMA Show we saw this awesome RZR 1000 Turbo at the Sport Truck USA booth and had to stop and ask about it. The RZR was built to show off the RT Pro MX Series bumpers for 2014 and later RZR 1000.

“We wanted to offer the fit and finish of a bumper that could hold up to winching and racing applications. We gusset them [the bumpers] to the frame to give a little more support because rubbing is racing. We’re making the bumpers as strong as possible without adding so much weight to them that nobody wants to put them on. Of course, they’re made of steel and they’re really well constructed,” said Randy Prattt of RT Pro.

What we love about the UTV they had on display is the tough bed liner-style finish on the front bumper for extra protection.

Pricing depends on the type of bumper you get from RT Pro, but they generally start from around $300, depending on the configuration of the bumper.

“The MX Series bumper is going to be short and in the middle without covering the headlights; the rear bumper is the same way. It’s basically a shorty/compact bumper, but we also have bumpers that are much wider to protect the body a little bit more. The GNC is for racing … it offers more protection for the panels and the headlights,” Pratt adds.
