With Can-Am releasing their turbo powered side by side it was only a matter of time before Polaris showed theirs. Polaris has announced the 2016 RZR XP Turbo.
Right when we thought it couldn’t get any better with the Can-Am but Polaris came in an looks to be blowing the Maverick X ds Turbo out of the water. The RZR XP Turbo is the fastest, factory turbo side by side out.
The all-new ProStar Turbo is the most powerful side-by-side engine available from the factory on a stock vehicle for unequalled power, torque, durability and excitement. The new engine includes a huge number of improvements, including forged pistons, an upgraded 270 degree firing order crankshaft, high strength connecting rods, closed deck cylinder, sodium filled exhaust valves and new oil system.
2016 Ploaris RZR XP Turbo
RZR XP Turbo features a completely upgraded cooling system for consistent performance at all temperatures. The vehicle includes a new liquid charge air cooler with high-flow electric pump. The front placement of the dual radiators backed by a high-flow fan allows for consistent temperature control.
The Polaris RZR XP Turbo comes with Fox shocks specifically tuned for the RZR platform, with internal bypass, making for a smooth ride no matter the terrain. Polaris has been able to take all the horsepower and turn it into incredible performance.
We thought the Can-Am had plenty horsepower for a UTV, but the RZR XP Turbo blows that out of the water, and most Honda Civics out there as well. The Polaris RZR XP Turbo puts out 144 horsepower, 13 more horsepower than the 2016 Maverick X ds Turbo.
