If you are into heavily armored off road vehicles or getting ready for the zombie apocalypse, this Didgori Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) is the vehicle for you. The Didgori is highly mobile while still having excellent survivability.

Extreme Survivability and Mobility

This is a fully armored beast. The armor on this vehicle can withstand 7.62×54mmR AP rounds being fired at it while even withstanding direct mine blasts from contact and underneath without sustaining much damage. We have your attention now?

The Didgori is made by the Delta Research Center in the Ministry of Defense of Georgia. The center uses a Ford F-550 chassis, as well as the Ford 6.7L Power Stroke V8 turbo diesel engine. The Didgori has a max speed of a little over 85 miles per hour.

While it may have the heavy duty armor it also shows the vehicles 0 to 60 kph time, with a snail like 22 seconds (37 mph for our Americans reading this). You compare that to Ford Raptor, which does 0 to 60 in around 6.5 seconds.

Didgori APC uses the Ford F550 Chassis

If you are expecting to get hybrid type of miles out of this APC you will be quite disappointed having a range of only 310 miles. If the Didgori uses the F550’s 40-gallon fuel tank, you are only averaging about 7.75 miles per gallon.

The Didgori is loaded with features that would make it an extreme survival vehicle for venturing way off the grid and further, but unless you are in the market for a war vehicle or something to get you ready for zombies, it does seem to be a bit overkill.
