When a desert race is known as “The Great American Off-Road Race,” it is sure to be something special. Such is the case with the Mint 400 and in true desert racing fashion, fans, racers, media, and the like are going to be invading Sin City next week. Taking place in the sprawling Nevada deserts, the Mint 400 is slated to bring together 330 of the greatest off-road racers on the planet for a desert race like no other in America. Last year marked the largest gathering of Trick Trucks (Trophy Trucks) to ever enter a race, will this year bring even more?
The Mint 400 has been known to be one of the toughest and most spectacular off-road races in North America since 1967 and experienced a great deal of success over the years until 1988 when the race was no longer held. After a 20-year hiatus and to the delight of off-road enthusiasts, the Mint 400 returned in 2008 and has yet again been a marquee event of Las Vegas ever since.
Taking place from March 11-14, 2015, a wide variety of activities are set to take place including a vehicle procession on the famed Fremont Street, a Pit Crew challenge, meet and greets, the limited race, the unlimited race, and of course the Red Bull Mint 400 after party. Off Road Extreme will be on site next week at the Mint 400 to bring our readers the excitement of what it’s like to go to “The Great American Off-Road Race.” In addition, the race itself will be airing on an NBC four-hour time-slot as part of Red Bull’s Signature Series to bring all the action right to the living rooms of off-road enthusiasts everywhere!
Stay tuned and strap in as next week Off Road Xtreme takes you to the Mint 400!
