If there’s one thing to love about off roading, it’s that it doesn’t matter what type of terrain you are on (as long as it isn’t a road), it can easily be a great time with the right attitude and the right equipment.

One of the most fun places to off road has got to be the sand dunes. For us Southern Californians looking to get a dune-fix, the logical choice is nearly always Glamis and the Imperial Sand Dunes. Driving out in the dunes is like being on an entirely different planet as they seem to go on and on for an unmeasurable amount of distance. A keen sense of direction is needed when going out into the dunes, especially at night, but regardless, they are an absolute blast.

To up the fun factor, an extremely powerful vehicle makes the experience all the better. The appropriately named Sothern California company Funco Motorsports, is in the business of providing fun for those who can afford one of their sand cars. The video above highlights Funco’s GTQ sand car that features 850 hp, 22-inches of rear suspension travel, 20-inches of front suspension travel, and King Shocks on all four corners.

With a rear engine, lightweight design, and ample power on demand, the driver in the video is able to make the Funco sand car wheelie whenever he wants – which looks like a great time!

If you consider yourself an off road enthusiast, there’s literally no way that this video doesn’t look like fun. From the high speeds, jumps, whoops, and banked turns, the combination of Glamis and a Funco sand car looks like it would be the gift that keeps on giving!
