There’s a time and a place for treating high-class cars like high-class cars. The Concours d’Elegance comes to mind, as a meeting of gentlemen and ladies that gathers in picturesque locations like Monterey or Pebble Beach, sipping cocktails and playfully discussing the particulars of a Bentley’s woodcarved dashboard or a Maserati’s handling characteristics.
Now imagine that you keep all of these modern grand tourers, saloons, and exotics, but at the same time abandon the well-to-do and just drive the damn things. That’s part and parcel of the concept behind the operations at Tax The Rich, a YouTube channel that’s been around since May 2012, delivering high-speed content that shows high-priced automobiles doing things never done before.
The group’s slogan –”Bringing you supercar footage in the most unlikely manner”– more or less aptly describes what Tax The Rich is all about. Whether it’s nearly setting a Jaguar XJ220 aflame or having a wakeboarder tied to the back of a Ferrari F50, the guys know how to break down the stuffy, no-nonsense illusions that surround these vehicles.
Today, we’re treated to a show of force we thought we’d never see: a Rolls-Royce Wraith, seen getting sideways at a garden in the British countryside. We don’t know the owner, the exact location, or who’s going to be in charge of cleaning up the mess when it’s all over, but we do know this: nothing sounds more fun than piloting a $300,000 coupe around the grass and dirt.
What car(s) should TTR do next? Maybe a Bugatti Veyron shooting across the desert? Or a Lamborghini Aventador churning up a winter wonderland? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below, and then check out TTR’s other sweet vids on their YouTube channel.
