What do we know about the 2015 Nissan Frontier or upgraded Navara? Well, besides that it’s been caught by spy photographers a few times in the past year, not much. And it seems that Nissan is planning to keep it that way. At least until the official reveal of its “special member of the family” set for June 11, 2014. Want a taste of what’s in store? Check out the video above, compliments of the Nissan Newsroom YouTube channel.
For the last year, we’ve been hearing about the potential for an upgraded Frontier coming out in 2015 called the Navara. Now whether this is it or not, we’re not quite sure, but chances are it’s safe to assume that the truck pictured under a cover on Nissan’s Instagram page, as well as the truck teased in the video above, is in fact the Navara or some version of the Frontier. And, as it’s that time of the year, we can only imagine that it would be the 2015 model.
Aside from some LED headlights, air intakes on the front lip, regal suspension components and a few snippets of color, Nissan does let us know that whatever this vehicle is, it has endured 1 million km (621,371 miles and 334.4yds) of real-world testing and over 40,000 quality tests. Now if that doesn’t mean this future truck is up to the task of your weekend trail runner, we don’t know what does.
Of course, if we get any more information about the upcoming Nissan reveal, we’ll be sure to let you know. But until then, your guess on what’s to come is as good as ours.
