When you mix mud and high-powered motors, the chances of fun climb the charts; all the more when you add jumps. Oftentimes, however, the law of gravity has other plans in store, and then you’re just along for the ride.

What we know of the happenings here tell us that the setting is the West Georgia Mud Park in Tallapoosa, Georgia, and that the occasion was the Trucks Gone Wild event, held on the 16-18th of May, 2014. The truck, noted for the phrase “NO BS” plastered on both sides, was taking part in an obstacle course activity.

Judging from the video, it all seems to start well enough: the truck launches from the start and heads into some mild dips, then drifts left to a short straightaway before coming into a hairpin. Another decent straightaway followed by a tabletop is surpassed with ease as the truck hangs a right, coming into another straightaway that leads to the fateful leap.

The driver dumps the gas pedal just before he starts flying, noticing all too late that his speed was off. The trajectory is all wrong, as the truck’s momentum and angle leads to an awkward landing that, unfortunately, results in back-to-back endos, the first of which pounds hard into the earth from the back of the roll cage behind the driver’s head.

All is well that ends well, however. Our hero is shown shaken, but still standing as he emerges from the truck, joking with his friends and fans as the damage is assessed. “That was a rush, wasn’t it?” he remarks.

A follow-up clip shows the action once more in slow motion, where we see that the left side rear shock absorber breaks loose and starts spraying oil on the first endo, while the second endo inflicts damage to the front axle and immediately destroys the left side tie rod end. Nothing too drastic in terms of repairs, and any crash without a fire or serious injury is a happy ending.
