Towards the end of January we shared a video with everyone about a LS powered Volkswagen bug that terrorized the streets of San Diego, California. Well, the act of everything done in the video finally caught up to the driver. Blake Wilkey will be facing a judge Monday morning on 26 misdemeanor accounts.

The video showed the bug driving down hills catching air after every bump, jumping planters at the back of a shopping center, and driving on the banks of freeway onramps. Everything that was done in the video that was showed was something I am sure everyone of us has wanted to do at one point or another, but is also illegal.

Wilkey’s picture he posted on his Instagram.

Wilkey will be facing nine counts of conspire to commit a crime, nine counts of reckless driving, and eight counts of engage in motor vehicle exhibition of speed. He posted a picture of the document that outlined the charges on his Instagram.

His comment on the photo was, “Monday morning at 8 am downtown I will be facing a judge on 26 misdemeanor accounts for the urban assault video. This was not taken lightly by the prosecutor and I hope it won’t be to heavy of a burden on me after its all said and done. Do fun, wild, crazy things my friends just don’t let them be illegal or if they are don’t post them on the Internet! If they make the news you know you’re in some s***!
